Nomadenoase

The Transcontinental Nomadenoase is concepted as an Independet Art Space Station in form of a miniatur of the international art scene. As a mirror of the art of today  it recieves and projects in the same moment the utopian messages from a future world, in which art has become a form of economic power. This Sputnick contains a new bohemian bar, a self organized gallery and a secret back stage for vip´s. Each of these three element is a piece of art, made by different artist (Jason Rhoades, Lutz Krüger, Charlet Kugel). This unit works as a demonstration of basic functions of the everyday live in the world of art, like amusement and drinking, showing and selecting, seperating and doing serious business, spreading rumors and inventing the new. This „inside“ is contained by an absurd „outside“, infact the container itself as a movable image of the moving art jet set (illustrated by Raymond Pettibon), a big inflatable sculpture (done by Jason Rhoades) and a freestanding sculpture (Jason Rhoades/Paul McCarthy), alltogether the sign of the extraordinary, that accompanies the public image of art today. The Transcontinental Nomadenoase has to be animated by art shows (as the interieur of the sculpture, that represents a gallery), events (as the attraction in the bohemian bar) and live (as the decoration of the secret vip-lounge). For the art shows the Transcontinental Nomadenoase has a collection of art pieces (Andreas Hofer, André Butzer, Raymond Pettibon, Jason Rhoades, Charlet Kugel, Jonathan Meese, Veronique Bourgoin).
